Hey!!! All you NEETs, nerds, YouTube link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis,
Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers,
Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters,
Big-boobs fans, Weeaboo from around the world, learners of Japanese
who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, cunning
linguists, stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys, Touhou pirates, and
that electrical super-gay who suffers from mental disease - This is your thread!
Let's hope Igirisu-jin and the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!

This is the place to have a blast!!!!!
Let's continue to support recovery efforts in Japan!!!!!

Of courese! I often eat whale. I have only ate dolphin meat once.
Well, they rather smell just meaty, I think.

Whales and dolphins are mammals.
So "smells fishy" sounds awkward.
You should say "smells mammally."

Although I didn't mind 忍法帳 very much, Ms. wiki says pepople being more than Lv10 can make a new thread.

The level is up by writing in the 2ch.
When you write it once, the level, normaly, will be up by one level,
but the next chance to be up will be after more than 23 hours
If you have お試し2ちゃんねるビューア(a traial 2ch viewer?), which you have to pay, your level up every 3 minute.

I don't usually make a thread and am unconcerned with it.
You seem to be able to know your level when you write "!ninja" to the name input column.
That's why I often saw people who write "テスト."

I wasn't able to imagine whether Mrs. Haruko Kobokata had manufactured STAP
cells really or she had fabricated them.

I presumed the probability that she imagined by mistake with insufficient
verification that she had manufactured STAP cells or she fabricated them
after I watched the press conference on April 9th Tuesday.

The confidence that she had verified the expression of STAP cells
seemed to be shaken though I didn't know how she thought
when I watched this press conference.

I suppose that the story that she had manufactured STAP cells more than
200 times was irresponsible remarks.
She doesn't know how many times she manufactured them, supposing that
she did so plural times, did she?

I singed up for a language exchange thing at school. I hope I'll be matched up with an American student. Otherwise, it doesn't mean much to do this.
I can make international friends in class and outside class, it's easier. I applied for this cuz I wanted to speak with American. By this I mean American American, not Japanized ones or those with yellow fever.

Well if you're trying to do a language exchange with an English speaker who is learning Japanese...
It's pretty safe to assume they'll be kind of a weeaboo.
I don't know what you're looking to get out of talking to an American in particular, though.

>>47
It's actually the language conversation partner I applied for. Srry I got them mixed up!
The reason is simply to improve my english. I think there's not much to learn from other international students unless the person is at advanced level or somewhere near.
Because the conversation partner program is for those who hope to improve their english skills like myself, not so many fluent english speakers apply for it.
I assume most of them are ESL students, which means chances of meeting with fluent English speakers except for americans are pretty small.

I didn't really watch this show but this idol said
that growth of rising population of elderly is really
threatening the young generation
Whenever we go to the hospital, there are elderly everywhere

Most young employees today are non-regular workers and they are
paid in hourly wages

It happens almost all the time but when we get so sick,
we go to see a doctor but we spend entire day waiting to get checked
by a doc. The elderly do need to pay only 10%-20% so they are everywhere

For example, we go to see a doc and register around 8am
We wait until at least 11am. Then there is a lunch break,
we need to have a medicine prescribe by a doc and we wait again
and takes another an hour or 2hrs

It is so crazy

The regular workers, who are very busy, they also do not go see a doc
so often either. Same with non-regular workers as well
We pay 40% and price is not the issue here but the time and sometimes
money we lose

The voice of elderly is way too strong and we, the young ones,
really do not have much options. I am so disappointed with this
Who are paying for their bills? Why don't the govt give young workers
priority to check up with doc? Some regular workers, who are not busy,
they like to stay thing this way because they still get paid

The increase of non-regular workers and multi-task young employees are
really threatened by these mega elderly rising population
and govt still doing nothing

Many young workers pass out in their middle ages
actually, they work until very late and they don't even have a chance
to see a doc but drink some medicine that they have

Many accuse young people for telling things like 老害(poison elderly)
but I think we have got to do something with this

The another serious issue here is nursing parents
We do not have euthanasia and since elderly do not have to spend
money to get checked by a doc, they live really long
Eventhough, they have this serious dementia
The family is so scared of causing fire, gone missing, etc
Also there are things like truck drivers hit dementia elderly
and get arrested and put into a prison

Unlike other country, once we lose our job, even if this person
has high skill, there is no good working place for them
When a family carry dementia elderly, no housewife to look after for him/her
he/she lose their working place, money, and etc

The dementia elderly are everywhere
Once they are out of sight, they go walk to many places
It is 24hrs care until they pass away

Many accidents occur in many time, many places

A dementia elderly walking down the highway crossing
place where she shouldn't be passing and hit by a truck
but still a driver is arrested and put into a prison

It is happening everywhere and these things are just going to increase

>>64
I don't think so
Many elderly gone missing and I hear news saying
that elderly passed out hit by cars or trucks
Not like normal time, but very early in the morning or so

Those are mostly prevented because house-wives or their
children are working so hard to take care of them

It is so sad to hear that their work is very underestimated

Some housewife needs to move with her husband to other prefecture
take care of her husband's parents, who had become dementia

I have seen and talked a lot of those wives but they've all said,
watching over elderly is so hard compare to watching over kids

We all know kids will eventually grow and time is limited
but as for dementia, we do not know when it will end

I have worked and seen many places by myself
Talked with many people who were involved
I was living with elderly as well, took care of them
not totally but partly

Sometimes, discussion on these matters become more ideal,
whether than realistic

I consider that rich people just hand over the elderly to the nursing home
and they are not that quite involved

I am quite concerned that these things really do create a deep split
between govt and the normal citizens since it is deeply reflected to
people's living

From next year, the handicap level gone up for elderly
who can enter the nursing homes. Instead, they are asked
to take care of themselves in the houses

I do not think this is the good idea because nowadays,
in the social work field, we all know that prevention is the most important
more than getting worse than that

What the nursing home provide us is not only time but they are working
on prevention. To eat, to walk, to communicate, and to socialize with others

>>71
Can you be a little more specific?

The other thing is that admitting enthunesia for whom wish for that
We do not have no good medicine yet for dementia and it really do get ugly
We have to admit that there are some murder going on inside the family
and it is nothing but a disaster

I know, this is very controversy issue but also I think it is very important
for the some elderly's dignity. Once we decide to prolong his life,
a doctor is sued and retrieved his own license, even if patient
and family ask him to stop the machine. Mostly, it is cause by family
who had not looking after their own parents, and they do not really helping
family at all but sue a doctor for what he did

>>73
What do you do?

>>72
Every patients need to be diagnozed by a doctor and there are levels
to enter the nursing home and this level is going to get strict

All the workers know how prevention of becoming worse is much important
than patients becoming ill. When patients become ill, it is going to cost
much money and time. Also they are likely to lose health and social life

>>74
My major was the social work but since it is low wage
and I have other skills so I choose the different field to work
but volunteered to some places

The fact is that we have to consider what we will do for those
who are serious ill and not cutting a budget for the prevention
It will be costly and also very high price for the young workers

When elderly are prevented from becoming seriously ill,
they work hard, back in the farmland or do the housework as
they were

In the rural areas, it is very common to see family who are living
together in 3 generations. Grandparents, parents, and children
Eventhough, they don't live together, their daughters are living nearby

They help each other. Most of wives are working as a part-time
and when there is a call from the kindergarden, it's grandparents role
to pick them up and make some food while their own children are working

This is really good role model and we really do not want to mess this thing up

I don't like Eki Soba in Kanto.
Kansai is the best.

I hate kansai so much. I do remember when I was in college, there was this guy from Osaka and he always spoke the retarded Osaka dialect and that was so disgusting....

>>91
Why? I like Osaka
They've got this Udon restaurants and you eat with no chair
but so cheap and so delicious

Also Oden was so good

I think they've got this perfect dashi

Although, ramen is good in Kanto

but oden is called kantodaki.

I lived in Kansai for 8 years.
When I moved to Kanto, I first think, in Tokyo station, all men talked as if they were like girls.
I didn't become a girly man, but I forget Kansai ben now. I am now a girly man.

>>93
I'd never had kanto's oden but hope it is not that salty

>>94
I know. They almost sound like girls
It must be because they've got no male version or female version dialect
They all talk the same and there is no change

the broth of shizuoka oden is so black.

>>96
Is it tasty or what?

i don't know. i just saw pictures of it.
it seems like shizuoka people eat it with furikake-like stuff sprinkled over it.

OMG

Haruki Murakami's new novel has just been released and lots of "Harukisit"
was in line waiting for its realease at the stroke of midnight.
http://ajw.asahi.com/article/behind_news/people/AJ201404180044

I'm not kind of a person who read for pleasure and I have no favorite
novelists. I read only when I makes a resolution, like "I'll read a book a month."
These resolutions were made when I felt need to read English more. (hence, English books.)
I'm not originally a book lover so I don't understand why they queue up
late at night.

I read a lot of books but his novel did not quite seem to fit me though
I do have my favorite author but I always keep this person secret
Only my ex-bf and my best friend knows about it
I can't quite stop talking about him when I start to talk
although he already passed away. I have been to see his monument
and I had met his relative just by luck lol
Gosh, that was such a heart-trampling experience
I love every characters that he wrote

When I first read his book, I was like
"OMG. These are books which I have been waiting for so long!"
and read them over and over again
Then I saw his pic and you know what! He was exacly my type!
A person is so so so your type, it is kind of weird that you
just cannot explain others that you actually liked that book
Always keep them inside your heart like forever

He was like Susano-o or something to me hit me so hard back in college
I felt my blood ran so fast through my vains thoroughly
One of the best things I had in my life

You don't have to keep your favorite novelist secret in the first place.
Nobody wants to know his/her name. Nobody is interested in you, aka middle-aged woman.

It's so messy! It's like one of those street stand foods you see in developing countries.

I`m listening to Houston's "love you down" but this song is
just so awesome and romantic. I do not have no clue why he
ever took his eye off

It kinda reminds me and my ex-bf
All I ever remember is just beautiful memory
Sorry for guys without or lack girlfriend, rest of your life
but at least I had a life for sure. Nothing need to be compared but you know...
it is so important
I hope I`d never had good memories so it wouldn't really made scars
I envy you guys for having nothing

Nothing is more creepy than a middle age woman who is single and
feels self-pity about the past relationships.

I am not young anymore that's why (^^♪

Sometimes I wonder how do guys with no relationships feel after years gone by
and he becomes old

The relationship among young ones are often pure and cruel and sometimes unforgettable
It reminds us many things with some pain and regret

Ewwwwwwww...

I mean, it is better than having no history at all. Right guys?

Okay, imagine you are dead and you're in heaven
here is a God asking you questions,
God "what love did you learn?"
you "ummm...I only masterbated everyday watching porn"
God " ... I did not create that thing in a such way"
you "sorry, but I am just so too creepy to have a gf"
God " You got too many excuses"

You really need to have at least "a story" to bring it with you

>>115
You're so desperate to justify it lololol

>>116
I've already taken off my underwear.
Please go on with your story.

If I remember correctly, god hates people with divorce history

I feel like I'm going to catch a cold.

That is so sad
What really happened?

I don't know the details.
Especially, I can't express it in English, if I knew.

English will never gonna make Japanese society worse.
I got brown today and it was terrible as ass.

English is very difficutl.
Your words using at 128 is very plain.
However, I don't understand it.

English 英語は
will never gonna (わからん。will never going to???)
make Japanese socierty worse

I got brown today
it was terrible as ass

English is very difficult.

I want to make omancho a English word.

gays love everything sophisticated but
ironically every women tend to be more nature and barbaric, unlike some men
who are under control

Even if men think that women are under control, who really knows
how she feels about it. We all know, women are like a volcano
Whether she is erupting most of the times or will going to erupt soon

Gaijins are so ewwwwww lol

Your ears will become wet and stinky.

>>139 you maybe misunderstand. Shin mongoloid is Yayoi type Japanese which have semi double-lined eyes Okubutae.
>>144 But yes. People who have wet earwax are Japanese. Basically, because Japanese is type Ural related to Johmon.

I exist only for beginners and learners who want to use English.
I like light conversation like greeting, weather, and so on.
If you greet me, I will respond to you.
If you ask me a simple question, I will respond to you.
If you want, I will ask simple questions such as "Where are you from?".
In that case, please say to me "Gimme a question."
Don't be shy.
Let's build a win-win relationship.
I don't guarantee the precision of my English, however.

This is my user manual.

It awakes my imagination.

I realize proper English is quick. again....sigh...
kanji is thoughtful, but, not for quick thinking.
Sadly Japanese can't be quick because of its frequency.
But, you won't listen English of TOEIC or MOVIE.

I am so called 三日坊主, meaning tired of learning and stop studying within 3 days
but I had studied both Chinese and Korean. The pronounciation of Chinese was so difficult for me
and I just wanted to know how to order foods in Yamcha, so I quit really fast
but I regret about it because I had trouble having whatever I like in Yamcha
I had to point out to a waitress, dat dat dat...and it was so embarassing but
I cannnot help my appetite, you know

dat dat dat... pointing to someone who is having food, you know
That was not that polite and a waitress was screaming like "that?" or "this?"
sometimes lifting dishes who sits next to us and I felt so terrible about it
I was like, " I am so so so sorry"

Then there were Korean romantic dramas I liked so much, and I had read this blog
saying that Japanese translation is not enough to understand the atmosphere
so I had gone to take a course but I'd failed while learning grammers
It was terribly difficult to learn

soy sauce is contained in various kinds of sauces sold in japan, for example steak sauces and pasta sauces.
it is necessary for japanese people.

we got variety of soy sauce
I do not like kikkoman. Too salty for me
The foods in kanto is just too salty for me

I prefer oyster made soy sauce and just a bit sweet soy sauce
which is sold nearby my area

When I have gone to visit nearby sea area, they've got this
really good soy sauce too

More than that dashi is so important
We've got many dashi as well
Konbu-dashi, Katsuo-dashi, Iriko-dashi, or mixed ones

Dashi is the major role and soy sauce is the next

I think in Kanto, soy sauce is the major role and no dashi involved much
and it is really too rough rather than delicate

I totally do not understand why Koreans in Japan got multiple names

They always say like, " you guys care so much. It is because there are racists"
but would anyone really believe this person who has multiple names
which are really different. One is totally Japanese and another one is Korean

Excuse me but when I was living abroad, I had never changed my name and
eventhough, there was a racist, I had never thought of changing my name
They even change their surname as well

When they commit a crime in Japan, their Japanese name is printed on screen
but later on the net, we notice that some are Koreans

At the same time, some Koreans use their Korean name to live in Japan
and I do trust those people

Furthermore, コテハン記憶 is on.

When I was an elemantery school student, I was bullied from a Korean. He used 通名. I didn't know it.
When I was an junior high scholl student, I became taller than him and strong.
He went to the same school.
Some day, my classmate taught me that he is Korean.
The friend was a Korean I talked at >>214.

The descrimination still does exist in some parts of Japan , Kansai region,
Kyushu, to name a few... It's deep rooted. People don't say in public
they descriminate them though. That's why I asked.

Your ancestors were the top of the class system in Edo period,
and you can get married with Burakumin, the former Etahinin.
Maybe you live in Tokyo where city developments and population fluidity
has been seen a lot, and the former Etahinin and the former Samurai could live
in the same neighborhood.

Is that so?
I know some of my youth training was from Bushi-related ideas,
which were so strict. For example, I was a girl but I wasn't allowed to
cry in the public because my parent told me that it is tremendously humiliating thing to do

When I'd asked for something because everyone else does, my parent really hated that
They said, "you want because you want it, not because everyone else has that"
It was same with my decision as well. "You decide not because everyone says so but you decide because you want it that way"

The usage of chapsticks, words, and postures were very strict
and when I had visited my friends house, I was so suprised too see that
they weren't that strict. Later I noticed why

Writing words were so strict that dad drew these lines with a ruler
to make me write words beatifully and erased every words
he thought was not neat enough
I had practiced every single day and that was such a torture
when I was young
Although, now everyone tells me my writing is neat so it wasn't that bad

Who knows. We only live around only several decades
some believe in heaven and I believe more spiritual things
because I have seen grandfather before he passed out

No matter what we do, we all go away someday

I always think "how I think" is more responsible than
"how others think" We all need to consider about other people but
we also have to know that no matter what we do, our decisions returns
to us and it has to be something explainable. At least to yourself

>>256
Believing in heaven is a comfort to many people, so I suppose that's
why the idea is so popular. However, my problem with organised religion
is that the ideas are good, but the implementation isn't. People are
able to live by good ethics without having to pay a church.

It's true that other peoples' thoughts and feelings are important, but
their happiness doesn't (shouldn't) depend on us. As long as what we do
isn't morally objectionable, it should be accepted. And as you say, it's
pretty important that what we do makes sense to us.

Anyway, it's my intention to live forever. So far, my plan is working.

Unfortunately, the curren ID system is not so effective since there are loopholes.
I stopped by the voting thread a bit ago and thought that was neither

Then I just found some horrible advertisement of so-called new 2ch.
It says their English board has a ID system.
So if you want a ID system, emigrating there would be the simplest way.

"My grandfather was in The Pacific theatre of World War II.
He told me that when they were on Okinawa they found these Japanese soldiers raping and killing women in a small village.
His unit went in and shot some of the soldiers and disarmed the rest.
They held the soldiers up in front of the rest of the village and cut off their heads while they were still screaming.
After that he said they played a round of football with the Japanese officer's head.
He showed me pictures they took after the incident. Scarred for life."

"He said after they killed all the remaining Japanese soldiers
and approached the women with food and blankets to cover themselves that many of the women jumped off a cliff
because they thought the Americans would do the same to them."

Do you believe it? All anti-Japanese people fall into ruin!

Why do people mistake coffee order the first time at Starbucks?
That was used as a subject of an anime Nichijo.
I think it's because, to people like me, chilled coffee sold in convenience stores, especially "Mt. RAINIER" are THE espresso.
In addition, there is not only normal espresso but also DOUBLE espresso, and both of them have plenty of milk.

That reminds me of an embarrassing moment of my NT trip...
My mom and cousin and I went on a family trip to NY a few years ago.
At the time, neither of us could speak english. We had a really hard time talking to people.
And one day after we visited Metropolitan museum we decided to eat at a restaurant in the museum. I ordered some kind of pasta. It was good.
While we were eating, a waiter came up to us and asked how the food is. It's usual in US, nothing special.
But me back then didn't know about this custom. I was surprised by suddenly being spoken to. I didn't know what to say but I thought I gotta say something.
The thing I said right off the top of my head was Yummy!, then he was like"プッw. " and I was like"....."
...I still don't understand why I was laughed at but I do know I was somehow embarrassing.

Waiters typically come to ask that question while your mouth is full of food.
So the typical response is something like "mrrghrrfmf".

Anyway I think he might have laughed because "Yummy" is sort of a childish word.
It's not expected for someone older than 12 to say that seriously.
But also I guess it's easy for people to laugh when talking to foreigners.
I mean, I visited Japan and every word of Japanese that left my mouth was met with laughter.

Korea was annexed to Japan peacefully in 1910.
Japan did not invade Korea.
Therefore, many Japanese and Korean people fought against Western Countries and China during the war.
After Japan was defeated in the war, suddenly Korea changed their attitude.
Max von Schuler-Kobayashi said, "During the war, the Korean people were Japanese citizens, and were willing and able participants in the Japanese Empire.
It is after the war that they decided that they were victims, and switched roles." That's quite right.

I did not know details about the relationship between Japan and Korea in the early 20th century.
But the South Korean people said the independence movement in 1919 is described as a riot by Japanese is an insult to them.
And they charged that the Japanese massacred 20,000 Korean people immediately after the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923.
Reading a few books about modern history, I wrote the sentences.

It is feared that the financial rehabilitation has turned out to be a pie in the sky because of accumulated debts of national bonds.

A reformist politician claimed that Japan should take a humble attitude toward Asian nations because of Japan's past conduct in their countries during the war.
But, Japan has paid compensation for these countries after the war.
For example, Japan extended economic aid to Burma (Myanmar) to furnish medical equipment for the Rangoon Hospital.

>>593
I've not tried whale meat before, and it's been a long time since I had
venison. Venison is nice, but was quite a rich meat.

It's difficult to say which is better to eat. For health or for flavour?
When I cook, I often use chicken, beef, pork and lamb. Not all together
though. Chicken is quite a neutral meat, not too rich-flavoured. But it's
very versatile. Beef, pork and lamb go well with potato. A wine sauce usually
goes well with beef. Cream sauces go well with everything.

Tomorrow I am making pork schnitzel, which is an Austrian dish a little
similar to tonkatsu. The difference is we flatten the meat, and use more
substantial breadcrumbs, rather than lighter panko.

In Vietnam, after the Chinese patrol boats collided with the Vietnamese boat, the demonstrators marched to the Chinese Consulate voicing the withdrawal of the Chinese ships.
During the Vietnam War, China had supported the North Vietnamese troops and had given the forces arms to replenish supplies.

The South Vietnamese government was said to be a puppet regime of the US.

You can use it as a verb, but maybe not in that context.
If a tank runs over a car, the car has been pancaked. Basically, if you
hit something with enough force to flatten it, then it's been 'pancaked'.
However, we don't usually use it as a continuous verb (pancak[ing]), but as
the result of another action. Technically, it can be used that way though.

British representative home-cooked meal

#1 At first you prepare favorite meat and vegetables

#2 Cut the meat into pieces to suitable size. The vegetables take skin and the core and after all cut it to suitable size

#3 boils all the materials in the pan

#4 Anyway, stew it; stew it, and stew it, and stew it

#5 If stew, meat and vegetables become dead tired, and meat and the profit of vegetables are all given to the soup one after another

#6 Throw away all the soup

#7 attach favorite seasoning to the left meat and vegetables and eat it

The city I live is relatively small but there is a Chinese/Asian grocery store.
Their collection is not superb but I can get most of stuffs I need.

When I go London, I try to find the time to visit Japenese supermarkets on Brewer St.
Also many Japanese supermarkets have online shops.
Sometimes I buy things from them.

Do you mean you are a researcher? How long have you lived in English

What do you think about STAP cell incidence?

>>687
I've been in english speaking countries for very long time.

For the STAP cell fuss, my thoughts are something like this:
1) I'm glad I didn't do anything like that in writing my doctoral thesis.
My thesis was not really groundbreaking,
but on the other hand I don't have to worry about something will be revealed in future.

2) But I still understand why she did that.
If you are under the pressure of publishing your resaerch,
you can be tempted to commit some ethical violations.
Faking the data of course should never happen, but there is a huge gray area
where you can manipulate stuffs to get the better results.

3) I don't understand why some people think that this issue could deteriorate
the reputation of science research in Japan. This is an incident committed by one
researcher and what Japanese researchers have achieved is not so small.

That's a pretty good recipe for a casserole! However, that's only ONE
recipe for British food. We actually have TWO recipes. Here's the other
one:

1. Put meat in oven for several hours (remember to turn oven on first)

2. Boil some vegetables then drain them

3. Slice meat and serve with vegetables and gravy

>>676
It's good that you're not living up North. I think the selection of food is even
less. However, many supermarkets cater to the local minority populations too.
For example, my local Sainsbury's has a section for Polish food, as well as a lot
of Muslim-friendly foods, such as halal Haribo. The selection of Japanese ingredients
is pretty limited. Companies such as Yutaka and Clearspring seem to have a monopoly
in the mainstream supermarkets.

>>688
That explains why your English is natural.

It's good that Japanese people has begun to realize she did terrible things,
misconduts and fabrications and such. I am the one who was at first deceived by her
looks, but over the course of reading reactions of sicence community in Japan by reading their
tweets, blogs and Obokata related threads in 2ch's Biology board, I realized
how terrible she is as a researcher and as a person. What I don't never
tolerate is she is implying Dr. Wakayama is involved with misconducts.
Refarding 2), I understand the pressures on researchers, but I'd say she would have done
without such pressures sooner or later. Some people suspect she's a psychopath and I agree with that.
Regarding 3), the way Riken treats this incident could lead to a bad reputation of Japanese science
community. Riken has some evidences of Obokata's misconducts left in her
lab but they are not willing to check them one by one. Without Dr. Sasai, her STAP cell paper would have
never have been accepted by Nature, and the flasy way that Riken announced the discovery of
STAP sells shows Riken itself has responsibility behind this incident.

I mostly agree with the points you made in this post.
But I'm not interested in her personality or mental problems she might have.
There are a lot of researchers who is absolutely terrible as a person, but
continuously publishes amazing work.
Her looks and behaviors in the news conferences keep attracting people's interests,
but these are the things that turn me off. To me it implies how little
the scientists are appreciated in the society.

For the oversight from her bosses or institute, I don't support making it more strict.
Although her conducts were terrible,
these have been revealed through scrutinies and replications by other researchers.
In that sense the community is healthy, and we should not overreact to a few
horrendous misconducts. Riken has finalized their conclusion that Obokata
has engaged in serious misconducts and that's enough to show in my opinion.

It's said Riken institute is a nest of 利権, and there are lots of things
they hide in relation to this fabrication incidence. They are trying to save

That takes only 1:20, which is acceptable, and the results looks fine.

Sometimes I do two rounds of them especially for the weekend with good weather
(which is rare, of course), but cannot spend 5hours just for laundry :)

I'd like to go to UK someday. I'm thinking about going on a working holiday Visa after I finish my school. But I'm afraid I might not be able to fit in the society because I'm not good with people. Even in Japan, I had a hard time socializing.(lol)

In many parts of the UK, especially the south, the environment isn't very
social. When you take the metro or bus, people tend to keep to themselves
and avoid eye contact.

Anyway, if you do go somewhere for a working holiday, it might be a good experience
for your confidence, as well as to have an adventure. I just got my working holiday
visa in March. There was a bit of paperwork with the application, a page itinerary,
a page cover letter, bank statements, CV/resumé, photo, etc. but it was worth it.

>>736
I think the long cotton washes and steam cycles are for if you've been
mud-wrestling. As you say, the short-cycle washes are definitely good enough
for everyday wear. I could become a conspiracy-theorist and suggest that
long washes are default to give water suppliers an excuse to raise the bill
prices.

>>735
What were the rest of the family like? If you had changed host families, I don't
think you'd have had a worse one. That one sounded bad enough...

At school, we only had the options of French, Spanish or German. It would have
been nice to have had the option for more far-away languages. I guess my school
specialised more in technical subjects (and pointless Religious Education)
rather than languages.

Actually you might feel comfortable in the UK as the social distance between
people is somewhat similar to Japan, compared to the US.
In the classroom or working place, they are more humble and less self-promoting.

Another similarity is the drinking culture.
Public intoxication is pretty much tolerated in this country
although I'm not sure you like it or not.

>>738
Ya. 2.5 hours of washing is definitely energy and water draining.
Short cycles are better for energy saving
and also keep the lives of my clothes longer.

Yeah I heard something like that before. I live in one of the big cities in US right now and things are different. Here, it's not unusual that random people talk to you in public. Like when I'm waiting in line at cashier or waiting for an elevator.
Being friendly and open-minded is definitely a good trait of the American people...But just like I said,
I'm bit on the socially awkward side and sometimes I feel the pressure of having to act like them to fit in. I also have to worry about my English language ability so it's really hard!

Hopefully August, but I have until March next year to start. I really want
to get my current work out of the way before I go. Still have no idea where
to stay, but my goal is to take loads of photographs and see many places.

You mention that you worry about your English ability... in writing, it's
good, but many people seem to say there's less emphasis on speaking, in the
Japanese education system. However, if you put yourself in situations where
you're forced to use the language (such as you living in another country),
I think that language acquisition is much, much faster, and much more natural.

I wouldn't really say that the UK is xenophobic, but the media does stir up trouble
towards some minority groups. In particular, the media doesn't like the adoption of
Islamic culture, or immigration from poorer European nations, Romania and Bulgaria
in particular.

Speaking of poor countries, my freaking host mom in England regularly hired a housekeeper from Poland like twice a week and she just enjoyed drinking tea while watching a housekeeper cleaning

That's right, we can use it for many things.
- "I have until midnight to complete my assignment."
- "You have until noon to hand in your report."
- "We have until 16:30 to board the plane."

>>758
Housekeepers aren't really common. People who do hire them usually have
jobs that give them limited time to clean. Most people who have the time
do their own housecleaning. As you say, though, many people employed as
housekeepers are from countries such as Poland.

It sounds like she had a complex where she wanted to feel in control
and important... did she ever offer the housekeeper tea or coffee?
It's customary here to make drinks for tradespeople while they're
working.

>>758
Like igirisu-jin says, housecleaners are very common.
Even a student I know uses them for cleaning his house shared with his friends.
The cost is £20 for cleaning once a week, which is affordable even for students.
For shared houses (which is common for even people with full-time jobs, as
rents are really high partly because of the short-supply of flats for singles),
using housecleaners is a good solution because residents do not have to worry about
who cleans up, where, when.

Speaking of Polish, there was a massive wave of Polish immigration in the past decade.
Polish people is now the second largest minority in UK after Indian.

23:24:43.86 ID:nyX+KVfr!
>>761
I guess they're more common in the South of the country, where people
tend to commute and work longer hours. It's interesting to hear that
even students use them.

>>760
People do tend to take advantage of people who have emigrated for work.
It's illegal to pay them below a certain amount, but some people still
try to. However, as you say, even minimum wage here is more than a normal
wage in some other countries. I guess that's why they don't complain.

It's difficult to decide who has better taxes, I think. While the US income
tax is about 15% compared to the UK's 20%. However, the first £10,000 is untaxed.
Also, we pay a small amount for National Insurance, instead of taking out compulsory
expensive private health insurance policies. Of course, some people still take
private insurance due to waiting times in public hospitals. In general, healthcare
is pretty good here. Taxes are reasonable, depending on where you live here. Some
places get better public service coverage than others. Also, London gets the most
attention, while town such as mine are quite neglected, since it's so far away.

>>770
It's mainly Daily Mail readers who complain about such things. They're the most
xenophobic people in the UK, I think. Also, many people seem to be happy to complain
about immigrants, while they leech welfare from the government, unwilling to work.
Most employers will hire the people most suitable for the job, and many immigrants
are very hard workers, so they naturally get the jobs.

As for Northern Ireland, the whole situation is a mess. If the Northern Irish

Both Northern Ireland and Eire are nice countries, but it would just be
nice if they could live in peace. These days, most English people aren't
even Protestant Anglican Christians, so we don't have the Protestant vs.
Catholic mentality of the old days. We're not anti-Irish, nor are we
anti-Northern Irish.

It's unfair to impress religion on young children, I think. It's like
brainwashing and indoctrination. It probably is especially bad in Ireland
and Northern Ireland, since it will sometimes have hatred and violence
behind it. I'm glad that your friend can recognise that though, and form
his own thoughts on religion.

British cuisine can be good if made right, but most pubs serve mediocre
food. When I cook, I hardly ever make British food. Lately, it's been
Middle-Eastern food, which is really delicious! Oh, here's a pie shop I

you are right.
it takes a looooooong time to make your skin brighter with Hydroquinone.
and it depends on how thick the skin is.
as to male genital, the skin of balls are thin and easier to change.
other parts are thick and not that easy.

i have been using it for 2 years, but not constantly.
once you start whitening, you have to continue applying at least 6 months,
which is one cycle for of the replacement of skin. but I tend to be lazy.

I've applying it even on 粘膜(亀頭), but never felt any side effects so far.

I haven't been updated on current music scene, but when I was reading
tweets, I found a link to a newspaper article that reports Paul Macartony's
cancellation of the rest of four shows in Japan. His Japan tour were almost sold out.
Many fans must have been disappointed. Japan seems to be a cash cow for overseas artists.
If I'm not mistaken, Rolling Stones did some concerts, too a little while back. If you ask me,
they lives on the past glory, although it's amazing they still draw huge crowds to their concerts.
As a pro singer, Sir Paul Macartony should have taken care of his health more.
Taking his age into consideration, it could be difficult to stay fit,
but maybe just me but quite a lot of overseas singer cancel concerts citing health reason. What a bummer.
